Beating the Heat: An Effort to Support the Homeless

As the temperatures rise, my son Isaac and I wanted to do something to help the homeless in our community stay cool and safe. We put together care packages filled with essentials and a personal touch.

Each package includes a drawstring backpack to carry their belongings, a ball cap or hat to shield them from the sun, and inspirational note cards to offer encouragement and hope. We're donating these packages to St. Vincent de Paul, who will distribute them to those in need.

As Christians, we're inspired to support marginalized groups and be allies to those who need it most. We believe that everyone deserves dignity and care, regardless of their circumstances.

We're grateful for the opportunity to make a difference, no matter how small it may seem. We hope these care packages will bring a smile to someone's face and remind them that they're not alone.
