Fixing Our Eyes on the Unseen

Fixing Our Eyes on the Unseen

As followers of Christ, we're often faced with challenges and difficulties that can be overwhelming. But in 2 Corinthians 4:18, Paul reminds us to "fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
In a world that's constantly vying for our attention, it's easy to get caught up in the temporary things – our struggles, our successes, our possessions. But Paul encourages us to look beyond the surface level and focus on the eternal things that truly matter. Our hope, our faith, and our love for God are all eternal and will outlast the temporary struggles we face.
When we fix our eyes on the unseen, we're able to walk through difficulties with confidence and hope. We're reminded that our struggles are not in vain and that God is working all things together for our good.
So let's fix our eyes on the unseen – on God's love, His promises, and His eternal plan for our lives. Let's not be swayed by the temporary things, but instead, let's focus on the eternal things that will bring us joy and peace for all eternity.
